JINBEI Accelerates Egypt CKD Project

In August 2026, a project team from JINBEI (Shenyang) Automotive Co., Ltd. returned to Cairo for intensive discussions with local partners, the assembly plant and parts suppliers. Installation of the welding, painting and final assembly lines was nearing completion, while trial vehicle assembly, equipment testing and local staff training were advancing in parallel. JINBEI’s operations in Egypt are moving from complete vehicle exports toward local manufacturing and integrated operations.

From selling vehicles to building a factory

JINBEI moves toward local operations abroad

JINBEI has a long relationship with Egypt, one of its earlier KD cooperation markets, where complete vehicle trade established a stable customer base. In October 2025, its first exclusive brand store in Egypt opened in Cairo, combining sales, aftersales and parts services and providing a local base for assembly and brand development.

The signing and implementation of the JINBEI CKD project have deepened the partnership. The process plan was signed and the first production equipment shipped in 2025. In August 2026, the JINBEI team and Egyptian partners agreed on production preparation, local sourcing and production pace. Construction has accelerated, with mass production expected by year end.

From products to industry

JINBEI’s overseas business is changing

As one of the earlier companies named a national complete vehicle export base, JINBEI has exported more than 90,000 vehicles to over 80 countries and regions. Facing a new phase of global competition, the company follows a principle of research and development in China, manufacturing globally and serving the world. It is shifting from market entry toward deeper local operations.

Egypt is a model for this strategy. On the manufacturing side, the CKD lines introduce JINBEI process standards across welding, painting and final assembly, together with its quality management and supply chain practices. On the supply side, local parts makers are being brought into procurement to strengthen Egypt’s upstream automotive industry. On the service side, the exclusive store and local training bring standards to technicians and aftersales operations. For the brand, KD projects in Egypt and Vietnam support a shift from vehicle trade toward integrated technology, brand and value chain cooperation.

From export to local roots

Industrial cooperation between China and Egypt requires more than signing ceremonies. JINBEI is bringing more than three decades of commercial vehicle manufacturing and supply chain experience together with local Egyptian resources. It aims to improve its own overseas response while supporting local automotive manufacturing and employment.

From factories in Shenyang to assembly lines in Cairo, JINBEI’s international development is extending beyond shipping vehicles abroad. With manufacturing and local operations at its center, it is connecting Chinese and Egyptian automotive production along a shared value chain.

JINBEI will continue to use its KD bases in Egypt and Vietnam as foundations for deeper industrial connections with global partners, bringing Shenyang manufacturing to customers worldwide.
